Colts Neck Recreation area in NJ for some GSSA events


From North
NJ Turnpike south or Garden State Parkway south to Rt.9 south, to Rt.18 south, to Rt.537 east. Rt.537 about 1 mile to Bucks Mill Road (directly across from Hominy Golf Course & blue/white Municipal Bldg. sign). Left on Bucks Mill Road, ½ mile to Colts Neck Recreation area on left.
From West & South
NJ Turnpike to Exit 7A, Rt.195 east to Exit 16, bear left onto Rt.537 east, through Freehold (approx. 15 mi.), about 1 mile past Rt.18 Jct. to Bucks Mill Road (directly across from Hominy Golf Course & blue/white Municipal Bldg. sign). Left on Bucks Mill Road, ½ mile to Colts Neck Recreation area on left.

From North via I-295 (Trenton area)
I-295 south to Exit 57B (Rt.130 south). At first intersection take the jughandle and make a left turn onto Dunns Mill Road. At first traffic light, turn right onto Rt.206 south. Go about 1 mile & bear left onto Rt.68 south, about 8 miles into Ft. Dix (see below)
From North or South via NJ Turnpike
NJ Turnpike to Exit 7, Bordentown. From toll booth bear left onto Rt.206 south. Go about ¾ mile & bear left onto Rt.68 south, about 8 miles into Ft. Dix (see below)
From South via I-295
I-295 to Exit 56, bear right onto Rising Sun Road. At first stop sign, turn left, then make the first right onto Rt.206 south. Immediately get into left lane & bear left onto Rt.68 south, about 8 miles into Ft. Dix (see below)
From Rt. 537
Rt.537 to Rt.68 south, about 2 miles into Ft. Dix (see below)
FROM ALL OF THE ABOVE
Rt.68 through main gate of Ft. Dix. Continue about 1 mile to the first traffic circle; halfway around, turn right onto 4th St. At first light turn right onto New Jersy Ave., then turn left onto 8th St. Make the first right onto Doughboy Loop; 0.4 mile to Doughboy Field on left.
From NJ Shore area
Rt.70 west to Rt.530 into Browns Mill. Go through Browns Mill & continue straight on County Rt.669 through Ft. Dix. At first light in Ft. Dix, turn right onto Pemberton-Wrightstown Rd. At first traffic circle, turn right onto 4th St. At first light turn right onto New Jersey Ave., then turn left onto 8th St. Make the first right onto Doughboy Loop; 0.4 mile to Doughboy Field on left.
From Howard Johnsons on Rt.541
Rt.541 south, turn left onto Woodlane Road. Go about 10 miles into Ft.Dix (road changes name to Pemberton-Pointville Rd.). Turn left onto Juliustown-Lewiston Rd.(County Rt.669). At first traffic light turn right onto Pemberton-Wrightstown Rd. At first traffic circle, turn right onto 4th St. At first light turn right onto New Jersey Ave., then turn left onto 8th St. Make the first right onto Doughboy Loop; 0.4 mile to Doughboy Field on left.

 

 

Burlington County Technical-Vocational School in Mt. Holly, NJ, for some JRRWA & EWA events


From NJ Turnpike
NJ Turnpike to Exit 5, turn right after toll booths onto Rt.541, to Woodlane Road (sign for County Services), turn right onto Woodlane Rd through 2 traffic lights, Burlington VoTech is on the right.
From I-295 south going north
to Exit 45A (towards Rt.541/Mt Holly), make left at second traffic light, right at next traffic light, Burlington VoTech is on the left.
From I-295 north going south
to Exit 47A (Burlington/Mt Holly), take Rt.541 south through 6 traffic lights, turn right onto Woodlane Rd through 2 traffic lights, Burlington VoTech is on the right.

 

 

Memorial Sports Complex, Tuckerton Rd in Marlton, NJ, for some GSSA events


From North
NJ Turnpike South to Exit 4 or I-295 South, to Rt.73 south. At junction of Rts.73 & 70 (Olga's Diner is on the right) get into left lane and after junction make left onto West Main Street (Marlton Business District). Continue through Marlton, bear left at 3rd traffic light. Go through 2 more traffic lights and look for white rail fence on the right (behind which you will see playground, soccer fields, tennis courts). At tennis courts turn right into the Memorial Complex. Field is behind the buildings.
From South
I-295 North to Marlton/Rt.70 exit. Go east on Rt.70 to junction of Rts.73 & 70. Turn onto Rt. 73 south, getting into left lane. Make left onto West Main Street (Marlton Business District) and proceed as above.

 

 

North Branch Park, Milltown Rd in Bridgewater, NJ, for some EWA & NNJIWC events


From I-287 South
Take Exit 13 (Rts. 202 & 206 south); when highway splits take Rt.202 south approximately 2 miles (past Harris Electric on right). Continue under railroad trestle (4 H sign on trestle), take ramp on right immediately before traffic light onto Milltown Rd. Park is less than ½ mile on left (at post & rail fencing)
From Rt.202 going east/north
Make left turn onto Milltown Rd using exit ramp from the right lane and crossing Rt.202 at light; follow for about ½ mile to the park on left (at post & rail fencing)
From I-287 North
To Rt.202 west, then as above
From Rt.202 going west/south
Bear right under the railroad trestle onto Milltown Rd, follow for about ½ mile to the park on left (at post & rail fencing)
From I-95
Take exit for Rt.31 north for several miles; bear right onto Rt.202 east for several miles; take ramp on right to Milltown Rd, make left onto Milltown Rd. through traffic light at Rt.202/Milltown Rd intersection (Note that all turns must be from the right; i.e., no left turns are permitted). From the North
From I-70 in Frederick, MD, take Rt340/15 south; bear onto Rt.15 south at the split; Leesburg is 24 miles; Oatlands is 6 miles south of Leesburg on the left.
From Washington Beltway, take either Rt.7 or Dulles Greenway west to Leesburg bypass south to Rt.15 south; 6 miles to Oatlands on left.
From the South
Follow Rt.15 north toward Leesburg, Oatlands is on the right

 

 

Jamestown Beach Campsites, Jamestown, VA, for HRWC race events


From I-64 east from Richmond towards Williamsburg
From I-64 east take exit 234-A, Rt.199 east 8 miles to second light and turn right onto Rt.31 south. Go 3.8 miles and the campsite will be on your right, just before the Jamestown Ferry and across from Jamestown Festival Park.

 

 

Batsto Historic Site, Hammmonton, NJ, for some PHAST events
From I-295 north or south
Take Exit 26, Rt. 42 south and get on the Atlantic City Expressway. Take Exit 28, Rt.54 north. Go through the town of Hammonton, and make a right onto Rt.30 east for about ¾ - 1 mile, then turn left onto Rt.542. Go approximately 8 miles to Batsto Historical Site on the left.
From Rt.206 south (Mt Holly area)
Take Rt.206 south. Approximately 4 miles past the Atsion Recreation area, make a left onto County Rt.613. Go 1.4 miles, bear left to stop sign. Bear left onto County Rt.693. Go about 2.8 miles and turn left onto County Rt.542. Go about 4.7 miles to Batsto Historical Site.
From Garden State Parkway (Atlantic City area)
Take Parkway Exit 40, Rt.30 west to Rt.563 north, about 4 miles to Rt.542 west, about 3 miles to Batsto Historical Site.

 

 

Rosaryville State Park, Woodyard, MD, for some DASH events
From the north
Go south on I-97 for 9 miles to Exit 7 (Annapolis-Bowie). Bear to right onto Rt.3 toward Bowie. Continue south on Rt.3 for 9.4 miles to Bowie, MD. In Bowie Rt.3 becomes Rt.301 after passing underneath Rt.50. Continue south on Rt.301 for another 15 miles to park entrance on right.
From the south
At the I-95/I-295 interchange north of Richmond, go north on I-95 for 85.7 miles to I-495/I-95 (DC beltway). Continue north on I-95 for 17.8 miles into Maryland to Exit 11A (Pennsylvania Ave.). Go south on Pennsylvania Ave. for 1.3 miles to Marlboro Pike. Go south on Marlboro Pike for 2.3 miles and turn right onto Osborne Road. Go 2.3 miles on Osborne Road to Rt.301. Turn right onto Rt.301 and go 0.5 mile to park entrance.

 

 

Patuxent River Park; Croom, MD, for some DASH events


From Washington DC Beltway
Rt.4 south 1.9 miles and bear right onto Marlboro Pike. Go 2.3 miles and turn right onto Osbourne Road. Go 2.3 miles and turn left onto Rt.301 north. Go to first light (~100 yds.) and turn right onto Croom Road. Go 3 miles to Croom Airport Rd. and turn left. Go 3 miles to Group Campground on the right.
From Baltimore
I-695 exit 4 south onto I-97 and go 9 miles to exit 7, Rt.3 south. Go 10 miles and Rt.3 becomes Rt.301 when pass under Rt.50. Go another 14 miles to Rt.382 (Croom Rd.) and turn left. Go 3 miles to Croom Airport Rd. and turn left. Go 3 miles to Group Campground on the right.
From the South
From intersection of Rt.301 and Rt.5, take Rt.301 north for 8 miles to Rt.382 (Croom Rd.) and turn right. Go 3 miles to Croom Airport Rd. and turn left. Go 3 miles to Group Campground on the right.

 

 

Green Hills Park; Salem, VA, for Roanoak KC AKC trial


From I-81 North or South
Take exit 137 (Salem exit). Go east toward Salem to first light. Go right on West Main Street. Pass 84 Lumber Company on right, then turn left at the next light, Diuguids Lane. Cross the railroad tracks and a small bridge. Immediately following the bridge, turn right into Green Hills Park, which is Parkside Road. Follow signs to the parking area for the trial. Green Hills Park is exactly 1.4 miles from the bottom of the exit ramp of I-81.

 

 

Hillsborough Country Club; Flemington, NJ, for some GVFRRC events


From the North
Rt.78 west to rt. 287 south to Somerville, rt.206 south. Follow directions below from Somerville.
From Somerville
Rt. 206 south 5.6 miles to 2nd light after McDonalds. Turn right onto Rt.514 (Amwell Rd.). Continue on rt.514 4.5 miles to 3-way stop at stone church. Go straight, take second left, Westville Road. Follow to first stop sign and turn left. Make first right to continue to Wertsville. Country Club entrance is 2 miles on right.
From Trenton
Rt.31 north to rt.202 north. First exit is Wertsville Rd. Make right onto Wertsville Rd. Country Club entrance is 6.5 miles on left.
From Clinton
Rt.31 south to Flemington circle. Take rt.202 south from circle and make a left onto Wertsville Rd. Country Club entrance is 6.5 miles on left.

 

 

Monmouth Airport; Wall, NJ; for some PHAST events


From the North
Take Garden State Parkway to exit 98. Follow signs for Rt.34 North. Proceed north to the first light (Hurley's Pond Rd.) after crossing under the parkway. Follow directions below.
From the West
Take I-195 East to Rt.34 north to Hurley's Pond Road. Follow directions below.
From the South
Take Garden State Parkway to exit 98. Follow signs for Rt.34 North. Proceed north to Hurley's Pond Road. Follow directions below.
From intersection of Rt.34 & Hurley's Pond Road
Take the jughandle to the right and cross Rt.34, proceeding west on Hurley's Pond Road. The airport entrance is about 200 yards on the right. Turn left upon entering and proceed past the terminal building, through the double gates. Continue on this road, making a right turn at the foot, up the hill to the overlook area. (Follow signs to Sky Dive school). Make a 180 degree turn and proceed down the hill on the gravel road, past the sky dive area and parking, through a third gate, down around the big blue building. Continue past the blue building until you reach the service road. DO NOT DRIVE OUT ONTO THE RUNWAY!!! Turn left on the service road, towards a brown canvas quonset hut, paralleling the railroad tracks on the left and the runway on the right. Enter the field just before the quonset hut and park parallel to the tracks.

 

 

Braddock Rd; ?, MD; for some MABC events (This site is a horse pasture; parking is along the sides of the lane)


From the North (Westminster, Hanover, etc.)
Take MD RT. 27 south to MD Rt.26. Continue on Rt.27 beyond Rt.26 for about 0.5 mi. to Braddock Rd. and go for 1.9 mi. to MABC site on the right (follow yellow coursing signs).
From the South, West, & East
Take I-70 west from Baltimore Beltway (I-695) 25 miles to MD Rt.94. Go north on Rt.94 6.1 miles to Braddock Rd. Go left on Braddock Rd. 0.7 mi. to MABC site on left (follow yellow coursing signs).
Alternate route from East
Take MD Rt.26 from Baltimore Beltway (I-695) to Woodbine Rd. Turn left (south) on Woodbine Rd. for 1.3 miles to Braddock Rd. Turn right on Braddock Rd. and go 0.7 mi. to MABC site on left (follow yellow coursing signs).

 

 

Montpelier Event Field; Orange, VA; for some CHAMP events (Montpelier is 4 miles southwest of Orange, VA on Rt.20)


From Washington, DC
West on I-66 to Culpepper, then south on Rt.15 to Orange. Or
South on I-95 to Fredericksburg, west on US RT.3, then west on Rt.20 to Orange.
From Richmond, VA
West on I-64 to US Rt.15, then north to Orange.
From Charlottesville, VA
Northwest on Rt.20 to Montpelier Station (four miles south of Orange).

 

 

Washington County Agriculture Education Center; Boonesboro, MD; for some THLC events


From the East or West
MD I-70 to Rt.65 south (exit 29); proceed south on Rt.65 for 6.5 miles to trial site on left.
From the North or South
I-81 to I-70 east, and follow directions above.

 

 

Wright/Vroom Field; Holtwood, PA; for some PHCA events


From the South
MD I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) to Rt.146 north (Dulaney Valley Rd); When Rt.165 splits after the dam, stay to the left on Rt.146 north for about 15 miles. At Rt.23, turn right towards Jarrettsville. Turn left onto Rt. 165 north into Pennsylvania where it becomes Rt.74 (about 10 miles). Stay on Rt.74 north until Rt.372 east and turn right. Go about 9 miles to Susquehannock Drive and turn left up hill. This road becomes a 'T' in about 1 mile at Drytown Rd. Turn right into Rawlinsville. Go to stop sign at town and you will see a farm on your right and as you make a bend in the road we are the second house on the left (tan with burgundy shutters).
From the North
In PA take Rt.222 south towards Lancaster to Rt.30 west. Exit off Rt.30 as soon as you get on it, by following signs to Rt.222 and Rt.501 south. From exit ramp at light turn left onto Rt.222/501 south. Go through Lancaster carefully following signs for Rt.222/272. When Rts. 222 and 272 split, stay straight on Rt.272 towards Buck. You will come to a stone underpass, go through and turn right immediately. Go 1 mile to a 'T' and turn left onto Rawlinsville Road, bear right at first fork, bear left at second fork and continue over hill and dale until you come up last hill to house on right (tan with burgundy shutters).
From the East
Rt.322 west to Rt.1 south. At exit for Rt.472 turn right towards Quarryville. At Quarryvile (about 12 miles from Rt.1), turn left onto Rt.372 west. Go about 4 miles to intersection of Rt.272. Go through intersection and bear right. This road merges with Truce Road in about 1 mile, turn left. Continue on this road until stop sign at Rawlinsville. Turn right onto Rawlinsville Road out of town. You will see a farm on your right and as you make a bend in the road we are the second house on the left (tan with burgundy shutters)

 

 

Ft. Mott State Park; Pennsville, NJ; for some PHAST & JRRWA events


From the North
NJ Turnpike or I-295 south to last exit in NJ, Pennsville, Rt.49 East. Go through town, about 3 miles, to traffic light. Turn right on Ft. Mott Road and go 3 miles. Follow the signs for Finns Pount National Cemetery and Ft. Mott State Park. Turn right into the visitor's entrance.
From the South
I-95 over Delaware Memorial Bridge. Take first exit, Rt.49 East, Pennsville and follow directions above.

American Legion grounds; Milesburg, PA; for some POSH events


Milesburg, PA exit 158 off of I-80. At the American Legion grounds, field is partially fenced. From I-80, take Rt. 150/220 (at bottom of exit ramp, turn right, coming from either direction) proceed to next intersection Rt. 150 turn right onto cloverleaf. You will cross over the road you were just on. Go approx. 1/4 mile (look for yellow cigarette store on the right) turn left, field is inside fence on the left. A sign will be posted.

 

 

Lower Perkiomen Valley Park, PA; for some JRRWA events


From the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Rt.202
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike exit at Valley Forge (#326, old #24); go south on Rt.202 (towards West Chester); turn west onto Rt.422 to the 'Oaks' exit (Egypt Road); turn right onto Egypt Road. Park entrance is just a few car lengths from Rt.422. Field is to the left of the access road.
From the Pottstown/Reading area
Go east on Rt.422 to the 'Oaks' exit.
From the south
Take Rt.1 north to Rt.202 north to Rt.422 west to the 'Oaks' exit.
Motels:
Motel 6, King of Prussia, Pa. (610 265 7200) Flat rate of $55.99 plus tax for 1pp. Take Route 202 North from PA turnpike Exit 24. Near major Mall. Possibly only one dog per room, unsure as the answer always changes.
Comfort Inn, Pottstown Pa. (610 326 5000) $79/nt plus tax $50 refundable dog deposit. On Route 100, 1 mi north of Route 422.

 

 

Stowe, VT; for some NEWC events


From north or south
Take I-89 to exit 10 (Waterbury, VT). Take Rt.100 north to Stowe (approximately 9.5 miles). In Stowe, at the light in the center of the village, turn left onto Rt.108 (Mountain Road). Go 0.6 mile and turn right onto Weeks Hill Road. Look for Willie's Auto Shop almost immediately on the right and turn just past Willie's.

 

 

Otis, Mass.; for some NEWC events


From the North
Take Exit 2 (Lee) to Rt. 20 East; to Rt. 8 South (about 9 miles); through town of Otis (about 7 miles). Look for Tolland State Forest sign on right and take next right onto Miner Rd. Go all the way up the road past house on left and up into field.
From I-95 or I-84
Take Rt. 8 until the expressway ends in Winsted, CT. Turn right onto Rt. 44 west; go about ½ mile & turn right onto Rt. 8 north. After passing junction of Rt. 57, Rt. 8 does a left- right jog past the general store. Go about 5 miles further on Rt. 8 to Miner Road on left. Go all the way up the road past house on left and up into field.

 

 

Twin Gate Farm, Englishtown, NJ; for some GSSA events


From I-90 (Mass. Pike)
NJ Turnpike South to Exit 11 / Garden State Parkway; GSP South to Exit 123 (Route 9 South); continue on US-9S for about 10 miles. Bear right onto Gordons Corner Rd ramp to Tennent/Englishtown. Turn left at Gordons Corner Rd. Turn right at Tennent Road; continue for about 3 miles to Main St. Go about another mile to Millhurst Road and turn left, continuing for about 1.5 miles (you will cross over Route 33). Follow on Sweetmans Lane for about 2 miles until you see Twin Gate Farm on your left at 189 Sweetmans Lane (next to Charleston Springs Golf Course).
From the South
NJ Turnpike North to Exit 8. Bear right onto the RT-33 E ramp to Twin Rivers/Freehold. Continue about 6 miles on RT-33 E. Bear right at Woodville Road. Go about 2.5 miles, then turn left at Sweetmans Lane. Twin Gate Farm is on your right at 189 Sweetmans Lane.

 

 

China Buffet in Bear, DE


From I-95 (or Rt.40 west)
Take I-95 to Exit 4-A. Proceed to the exit to Rt.40 west towards Elkton, MD. In Bear, the China Buffet is in the shopping center on left at traffic light for Rt. 7.
From Rt.40 east
Take Rt.40 east through Elkton, MD, into Delaware. In Bear, the China Buffet is in the shopping center on right with traffic light just past Burger King which is in front of the shopping center and across from Governors Square Shopping Center.
